You can contact us using the details below to register with us.
At your registration meeting we will discuss your disability and the reasonable adjustments required.
Please bring disability evidence to our meeting in the form of a GP letter, Diagnostic Assessment or equivalent.
Once you have registered with us we will continue to offer advice and guidance throughout your studies.
We use a disclosure agreement to ensure that information is shared with the right people to provide you with the reasonable adjustments. At your first meeting with us you will be asked to give consent to enable us to share relevant information with others.
We only contact others on a ‘need-to-know’ basis and we will normally be acting on your behalf, for example, liaising with your school or external funding bodies. Students who undertake placements on their course will have disclosure paperwork as a basis for discussion with the placement team.
We will always uphold your wishes in terms of disclosure. However, if at any time we consider you to be at risk we reserve the right to contact the emergency/ medical services.
If you have any concerns regarding the level of disclosure please contact your Disability Adviser.
We are able to offer a wide range of reasonable adjustments for those with dyslexia, medical conditions, mental health difficulties and other disabilities.
Further details of reasonable adjustments can be found on our Dyslexia and other Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs) page .
Our team also provides reasonable adjustments for those with temporary disabilities including injuries such as, broken limbs, which have an effect on your ability to study.
Students undertaking placements as part of their course can discuss with their Disability Adviser 'reasonable adjustments' for their placements. The most appropriate placements can then be planned and information shared with the placement team. We also work with the university Careers Service to assist disabled students with career planning and advice.
