Buckinghamshire New University's Director of Education (Nursing and Midwifery) recognised for 'Excellence' with prestigious award across two disciplines

On Saturday 7 October, Nursing & Midwifery specialist Christina Ebanks was recognised for her outstanding contribution to the healthcare sector.

Director of Education (Nursing & Midwifery) and Senior Lecturer at Buckinghamshire New University, Christina Ebanks, was awarded the prestigious Zenith Global Health Award for Excellence in Nursing and Midwifery. The accolade is awarded to a person that demonstrates characteristics of a leader, change agent, and positive role model by consistently contributing and leading improved care, education, training, and sustenance. 

Christina has worked in the midwifery field for 20 years with several specialist areas in nursing and public health, as well as being an active member of the Royal College of Nursing and a peer reviewer for a number of nursing journals. 

It is only just beginning to sink in. I am very humbled indeed, to have won an internationally recognised award, within the fields of both Nursing and Midwifery. The award is historically given to winners in either Nursing or Midwifery.
