BNU launches Inclusive Research and Knowledge Exchange Strategy

Buckinghamshire New University (BNU) has published its new Inclusive Research and Knowledge Exchange Strategy which actively promotes diversity in all its forms, ensures equitable access to research opportunities, and cultivates an environment where all voices can be heard, valued and celebrated.

The strategy has three key areas of focus:

Enabling: to create excellent, inclusive research and knowledge exchange, BNU will ensure that the University provides a research-rich environment where research can flourish;

Enacting: BNU will be at the forefront of ethical, inclusive research that prioritises participatory methods and involves partners and community members as co-creators; and

Impacting: the University’s research and knowledge exchange will be rooted within social impact, locating innovation, positive change and capacity-building within our sectors and our communities.

Professor Damien Page, Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Buckinghamshire New University said:

“This is a big step forward for us as a university – not only will it guide us to becoming a truly research-rich university, it positions us as leaders in the field of inclusive research and knowledge exchange activity. Our strategic intent is to ensure that BNU’s research enriches our teaching, creates positive social impact and develops the careers of our colleagues and learners.”
