Top 30: Bucks rises 90 places in student satisfaction in Complete University Guide

Buckinghamshire New University has risen 90 places to rank joint 29th in the UK for student satisfaction in the latest Complete University Guide which was published yesterday (Wednesday).

Bucks is also 5th for academic services spend, which included investment in library, IT and computing facilities, and the University rose seven places to 115th in the overall ranking of 131 institutions, which continues the upward trend for Bucks seen in last year’s results.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Nick Braisby said: “We continually strive to provide our students with the best possible experience and I’m delighted that we have risen in this year’s table. This is a good achievement and one of which we are immensely proud.”

The guide also shows the University has risen 11 places in degree completion and 12 places for graduate prospects.

Bucks’ overall score rose significantly from 383 to 528 across the Guide’s ten areas of focus:

  • Research intensity
  • Graduate prospects
  • Student/ staff ratio
  • Academic services spend
  • Facilities spend
  • Good honours
  • Degree completion

Last week Bucks Students’ Union rose to 7th place in the 2019 WhatUni? Rankings, which are based on student interviews and feedback, and the University ranked 22nd for student support, and was in the top 50 for courses/lecturers (40th) and facilities (48th).
