Cheryl Myles

Biography

Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2019, I was working in the charity sector, managing human resource management volunteers.  My work history includes having worked in the NHS as an adult nurse, midwife and nurse tutor for 20 years, but I have also worked in training and development in the private sector too.

I studied for my MBA at Oxford Brookes University and my MA(Ed) at London University.  My specialist area of interest is learning and development because I have a passion for continuing personal and professional growth.

My specialist knowledge has led me to work with a wide variety of businesses such as Nestle, Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD), London North West Hospital NHS Trust on projects such as e-learning provision, Intranet development as well as nurse education.

My greatest achievement to date was working at the CIPD where I provided a means of volunteers to connect throughout the UK and Ireland, whilst putting the relationship on a business footing. In nursing it was programme development, validating and teaching on the very first Enrolled Nurse to Registered General Nurse Conversion course in the UK.
