Profile

Rebecca Rochon

MA Ed, SFHEA

Senior Lecturer

Biography

Rebecca works across the School of Human and Social Sciences and the Directorate for Learning and Teaching. This dual role enables her to continue to teach on postgraduate programmes while supporting and developing other staff at Bucks. Rebecca is the Course Lead for the two taught routes to gaining professional recognition from Advance HE and panel member for the Bucks CPD framework. In this way, she is able to play a leading role in the ongoing professional development and recognition of both academics and PSEs. Having worked in higher education since 2007, Rebecca supports colleagues in the development of curricula that are mapped to the often complex requirements of professional or regulatory bodies while meeting the quality standards and benchmarks for higher education. With expertise in flexible and distributed learning, she is well placed to design programmes that suit a range of delivery styles. Passionate about education and CPD, Rebecca is actively involved in every aspect of the learner experience in her role as a Senior Lecturer, from programme design to through to quality monitoring. As part of the Learning Teaching Directorate, Rebecca is also engaged with processes that underpin institutional practice, such as writing and operationalising policy, and playing a leading role in supporting strategic initiatives within the University. Rebecca is also involved externally with partner colleges, again supporting the development, delivery and evaluation of programmes that develop the practice of professionals in education.
