Biography

Wayne Palmer is the Programme Leader for the BA(Hons) Organisational Development Course and the Module Leader for Database Technology. Following a career as a commissioned officer in the Royal Air Force, Wayne joined the University as an Associate Lecturer in 2013, having studied continuously at BNU since 2006. He initially taught in the Computing Department but was recruited to run the BA(Hons) Organisational Development Course in December 2014, which is specifically designed for the Military. He was also a Squadron Leader in the RAF Reserves. Wayne’s scholarly interests are computing technology, business, management, aviation and military. He is especially interested in the way people learn on digital systems, looking at the younger generation and the new technology that influences their lives. He is a PhD student researching the mental health issues of UK Military Veterans.
