David has a varied professional background in airport handing, rail planning and tourism management (accommodation). He is also an air transport advisor, trainer and consultant having completed assignments with among others the Caribbean Development Bank, Etihad Airways, IATA and the Arab Air Carriers Organisation (AACO). His main research interests revolve around air transport economics, strategy, management, operations and planning. Airport/airline relationships, ancillary revenue developments and incumbent carrier strategies in deregulated markets are some examples of recent research. I have a special interest in air transport issues in the Caribbean and the Middle-East.
