Biography

Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2021, I was Course Leader and Senior Lecturer in Interior Design at Solent University for 18 years. I have taught historical and contextual studies across many courses within Art and Design and awarded dissertation tutor of the year twice across the university.

I studied for my PhD at University of the Arts London (Chelsea campus) and my specialist area of interest/research is Domestic architecture and its mediated form in film, this has given me the chance to explore the home space in terms of landscape, climate, and gender politics.

My specialist knowledge has led me to exhibit my work across the Western states of America,  and across Europe giving me a high profile as both a stills photographer and a multimedia artist.

My greatest accolade to date has been to gain access to some of the major ghost town domestic interiors, some which apart from site staff have not been accessed since before 1965.
