Colette Adams' story

Colette Adams' story

BNU couldn’t have prepared me more for the world of work. I gained so many transferable skills that I have to put into practice daily. Without my course I wouldn’t have the knowledge to make this possible.

Our BA (Hons) Dance and Performance graduate, Colette, recently sat down and shared with us her BNU experience, highlighting how it helped her land a job as a Professional Dancer for Remarc Entertainment, performing live shows on the Greek island of Kos.

Colette now finds herself making waves in the dance industry, however she mentions that without BNU this wouldn’t have been possible. “BNU couldn’t have prepared me more for the world of work. I gained so many transferable skills that I have to put into practice daily. Without my course I wouldn’t have the knowledge to make this possible.”

Like many of our courses, the Dance and Performance course offers students the chance to network with industry professionals to nurture the development of relevant skills and knowledge. Colette mentions, “Not only are the tutors great and so supportive, we also got weekly masterclasses from industry professionals which was definitely a highlight and a help.”

During her time at BNU, Colette managed to study hard and get involved with as much as possible. My best bits were without a doubt the technical classes, being the dance captain for Move It and tap choreographer for BNU Dance.”

Colette is another one of our alumni who still classes herself as part of the BNU family. She shared I am proud to be a BNU graduate. I wouldn’t be where I am if it wasn’t for the university and my little dance family. If anyone is thinking about going to BNU all I can say is just do it! Give it everything and you’ll get so much out of it.”
