Visitor information

We welcome visitors, aged 18 years and over, to our High Wycombe and Uxbridge libraries. To apply for any of the membership categories below, please download and complete an ACCESS@Bucks Application Form and email it to the library team prior to your visit.

After receiving a confirmation email, bring photo ID and proof of address to the campus Reception to collect your access card.

For High Wycombe Library

Monday - Thursday 10am to 6.30pm
Friday10am to 4.30pm
Saturday and Sunday 2pm to 4pm

For Uxbridge Library

Monday - Sunday9am to 1pm
2pm to 4.30pm

All visitors should observe Library regulations when using our libraries.

Membership Categories

You can join the library for £45 per annum. Membership allows you to borrow up to four items at a time and free Wi-Fi access on your personal laptop or device. Please note that this library membership does not include access to the Bucks network or e-resource subscriptions.

You have free library membership for three years which allows you to borrow up to four items. You have free Wi-Fi access on your personal laptop or device. Please note that this library membership does not include access to the Bucks network or e-resource subscriptions.

Staff and students from other UK universities can use our libraries via the SCONUL Access Scheme. Bring a printed copy of your SCONUL authorisation email and ID card from your home institution. We will issue you with a Bucks Associate card.

SCONUL borrower categories A, B and C can borrow up to four items. SCONUL category R users can access printed books and journals for reference only. You have free Wi-Fi access on your personal laptop or device.

Please note that this library membership does not include access to the Bucks network or e-resource subscriptions. During May revision and exam periods there will be no access for SCONUL users to the Uxbridge campus library. SCONUL users may access the High Wycombe Library throughout the whole year.

Members of the public are welcome to join the library. This gives you access for six months to our libraries for reference use of printed books and journals. You have free Wi-Fi access on your personal laptop or device.

Please note that this library membership does not include access to the Bucks network or e-resource subscriptions. Due to pressures on space during revision and exam periods we will not process new applications for Access@Bucks during May.
