Bucks’ fashion and design courses hit the top 10 in Guardian University Guide 2020
IMPROVEMENTS ACROSS 93% OF ALL COURSES: THE BEST PERFORMANCE OF ANY PROVIDER
Fashion courses at Bucks New University have been named the best in London and the South East according to the Guardian University Guide 2020. The degree programmes, which include Fashion Design and Textile Design, also rank fifth best nationally in the independently compiled league tables.
Design degree courses at the University - including Creative Advertising; Product Design; Graphic Design; Illustration; and Interior and Spatial Design - were also ranked eighth best in the UK.
All but one of the subjects offered at Bucks (93% of courses) improved in the latest release of the league table, the best performance of any of the 121 providers appearing in the overall rankings.
The Bucks’ subjects that improved their rankings on average advanced 15 places in the subject tables, with Design and Crafts climbing 52 places; Computer Science & Information Systems climbing 37 places; and Fashion & Textiles moving up 26 places.
The Guide also ranks Bucks as a top 20 UK university for expenditure on academic services which includes libraries, IT, and the University’s facilities such as its creative spaces, human performance lab, aircraft simulator, Virtual Reality lab, music and dance studios, and simulated operating theatre and nursing suites.
