Bucks New University set to throw open doors for Art & Creative Industries Show

Buckinghamshire New University is inviting the public along to its Arts & Creative Industries End of Year Show from 9-15 June, showcasing work from a range of eye-catching and imaginative courses.

Talented students in the School of Arts & Creative Industries at the University in Queen Alexandra Road, High Wycombe, will be showing their work at the annual week-long event.

Courses ranging from Textiles and Surface Design, to Fashion Design, Creative Advertising and Product Design will be exhibiting.

A private view from 5.30pm-9pm on Friday 9 June includes a live music and fashion catwalk event.

Frazer Mackenzie, Head of the School of Arts & Creative Industries, said: "Our industry-leading courses enjoy great links with businesses and partners and prepare our students for the world of work.

"We are looking forward to welcoming the public and our invited guests to the Show so they can see for themselves the wide range of courses we offer and the opportunities our students enjoy to utilise state-of-the-art facilities and produce an outstanding variety of pieces."

Courses displaying also include Animation and Visual Effects; Foundation Degree Art, Design & Media; Graphic Arts; Interior and Spatial Design; Foundation Degree Kitchen Design; Mechanical Engineering Design. A film illustrating work in the School of Arts & Creative Industries will also be running throughout the Show.

BA (Hons) Graphic Arts student Jordan Abankwah has designed the branding around the Arts & Creative Industries End of Year Show 2017.

The Show is open from 11am-3pm on Saturday 10 June and Sunday 11 June; 11am-4pm on Monday 12 June; 11am-7pm on Tuesday 13 June and Wednesday 14 June; and 11am-4pm on Thursday 15 June.
