Date: 7th Dec 2017

The Multi-faith Chaplaincy team at Bucks New University kicked off their Christmas celebrations with a rousing sing-song on the concourse yesterday.

Passers-by, staff and students were invited to join in with the carols as well as enjoy free mince pies and mulled fruit juice to spread a bit of festive cheer. The Multi-faith Chaplaincy

Jenny Ellis, Coordinating Chaplain, said: “The aim of carols on the concourse is to spread a bit of Christmas cheer and remind people for the 'reason for the season'.

“The MFC Christmas message to all our staff and students is the heart of the message that Christ brought. Known as 'the Great Commandment', it can be summed up in six words 'love God and love your neighbour'.

“This is also the foundation of all the world's great faiths. Just imagine what a world this would be if we all acted according to those principles.”

The Bucks Multi-faith team is students’ and staffs’ first port of call - whatever your faith, or even if you have none - if you want support, or spiritual guidance or to find a place to worship. They offer pastoral support and act as a point of contact for all our local faith communities.

If you feel you need or would like a confidential discussion, you can arrange to speak to a Chaplain during term time by emailing multifaithchaplaincy@bucks.ac.uk or pop in and see the team at the chaplaincy desk (N1.11), High Wycombe Campus.Carols on the concourse
