Richard Bingley has outlined his aims after being appointed Director of Bucks Business School at Buckinghamshire New University.
Richard has previously worked in the City of London and also carried out senior roles in central and local government. He has just published his third book, The Security Consultant's Handbook.
He said: "Our academics have all worked in the business world and are able to pass that experience on to our students.
"We are looking to develop people who are entrepreneurial and adaptable thinkers and to do this we have lecturers who are able to use their professional experience in the working world to inform their teaching."
In 2016, Bucks Business School will be welcoming leading speakers from companies including eBay and Costa Coffee.
Richard's previous roles include Executive Director for London business lobby group, London First. Before that he served in a range of government and non-governmental organisation media management roles. He has delivered training for Government agencies including the UK National Counter Terrorism Security Office.
Identifying the need for networking and education among security managers, he was co-founder of the social enterprise City Security and Resilience Networks (CSARN) in 2009. Richard is a regular speaker at City of London and New York business forums, advising corporations and large organisations in corporate leadership and resilience issues.
Bucks Business School offers degree and postgraduate programmes in subjects including an MBA, MBA Online, Master's Degree in Leadership and Management, Marketing, E-Business, Digital Marketing, Human Resource Management, Business Strategy, Economics, Marketing and Employability, and Accounting & Finance.
