Mince pies, gift stalls and penguin bowling were just some of the things that members of the public, staff and students enjoyed at the annual Christmas Market organised by the Students' Union at Buckinghamshire New University.
The event, which was held in aid of the University's two RAG charities: Florence Nightingale Hospice and Thames Valley Air Ambulance, took place on the concourse at the High Wycombe Campus, with activities including curling, table tennis and badminton located in the Events Hall.
Lauren Troiano, Volunteering & Societies Coordinator at the Students' Union said: "This is the third annual RAG Christmas Market that Bucks Students' Union has organised. We organise the market every year to offer an experience for students and also to raise money for our RAG charities. All of the external stallholder fees go towards our two supported charities of the year: Thames Valley Air Ambulance and Florence Nightingale Hospice."
To coincide with the Christmas Market, the University's Multi-faith Chaplaincy held a carol concert, with mulled juice and mince pies, outside The Gateway.Bucks New University's Missenden Abbey Conference Centre also held a charity Christmas Fair, raising more than £1,000 for the Thomas Ball Children's Cancer Fund.
The Fair, which was attended by around 1,000 guests, included Christmas market stalls, festive food and drink, and family activities such as face painting.
Elaine Ball, who is part of the Thomas Ball Children's Cancer Fund, said: "It was such a wonderful day and so well attended. Thank you so much for your donation, it will make a huge difference to our work with sick children."
