Uxbridge Campus in West London is the home of our award winning nursing and healthcare courses.
As the last (or first) stop on the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines, Uxbridge offers the best of both worlds – the friendliness and safety of a small town with the buzz of London just a tube ride away.
Placed in the centre of Uxbridge, our campus provides all the usual stores and places to eat within a short walk. You have easy access to shopping centres, a vibrant arts and entertainment scene, and plenty of pubs, restaurants and cafes.
You are also well placed for countryside escapes, with miles of hiking trails, canals and rivers to explore.
Take the short walk from campus to Uxbridge town centre, and you’ll have your pick of the best high street stores. Two large shopping centres – Intu Uxbridge and The Pavilions – make Uxbridge one of the top ten shopping destinations in London. You’ll find everything from fashion to sports, as well as lots of places to refuel with a coffee or quick bite.
As well as high street stores, Uxbridge has a thriving independent retail scene. Wander along historic Windsor Street and the Market House for an eclectic mix of shops and cafes. And every Wednesday, you can browse handmade goods at the weekly Craft Market in The Mall.
For film buffs, there's a giant screen experience at Uxbridge's IMAX cinema, and for theatre enthusiasts, the renowned Beck theatre in Hayes is just a short bus ride away. It hosts regular showings of dance, drama, standup and musicals.
With excellent road and rail links, Uxbridge gives you easy access to our partner NHS trusts as well as the rest of London. The underground station, with Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines, is just a five minute walk away from campus.
Students can also travel to our High Wycombe campus using our minibus service.
Uxbridge has its very own nightclub, Liquid and Envy, which attracts leading DJs and club nights from far and wide, and offers VIP experiences. The town also has some excellent bars and restaurants, taking you from pub grub to fine dining, and from fish and chips to sushi.
As with Wycombe, you’re just a short train ride from central London, where there’s even more choice – and excellent transport options to get you there and back safely, whatever the hour.
Dotted around the area you’ll find a wealth of hidden gems, including Colne Valley Park and the Grand Union Canal. If you're feeling energetic, you can walk or cycle down the towpath all the way to Camden Lock. Or for a more leisurely adventure, hire a canal boat for the day.
Uxbridge students are welcome to join the gym at our High Wycombe Campus but we’ve also arranged for student membership with Virgin Active in the town centre.
