A transcript is defined by the QAA as: "a comprehensive verifiable record of the learning and achievement of an individual learner. It includes modules you took, with the overall grade and the credit value of the module, and the overall total credits achieved at each level of study". You will receive one every year while you are a student, and another final transcript when you complete/leave the course.
When will I receive my certificate?
You will receive your certificate at graduation (September). However if you require your certificate earlier than this, please ask the Events and Conferments Registrars. All certificates not collected at graduation for students with UK addresses will be sent to their home address, and students who live abroad will be emailed to confirm their address.
Please note that if you do not notify the University that you have not received your certificate within two years of award, we will assume that you have received your certificate. After two years have elapsed you will then be asked for a fee if you require a copy.
How do I get replacement certificates?
You can request new certificates and transcripts from our online store. There is no limit on the number of copies you can request. Certificates cost £40, and transcripts £25.
If you graduated before 7 October 2007 then you will receive a Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College (BCUC) degree, after this date a Buckinghamshire New University degree.
Please note that under the Privy Council rules we cannot exchange a BCUC degree for Bucks New University degree certificate.
You can order a replacement or additional copies of your certificate and transcript on or our online store.
