Being so close to London gives us some amazing industry links, and gives you the chance to gain experience with some great businesses. Our focus on real world experience gives you that competitive edge when heading into employment.
We believe that having full professional and personal support makes a huge different to the university experience. We make sure you have one-to-one teaching with our lecturers. At Bucks, we build relationships where lecturers know their students by name, not by number.
We have great links with the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM)
You’ll work towards two qualifications at the same time on this course. We embed Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) modules with our degree modules so, once you graduate, you can register with the CIM. We’re really close to their headquarters - so they often visit our students and give them really valuable advice.
You’ll also go to CIM events and work with industry leaders. By joining with students on other Business degrees, you’ll get vital experience while building your business skills. And you’ll be creating a network of friends to take with you when you graduate.
We have a state of the art gym and our Human Performance Laboratory is home to an indoor three-lane running track that incorporates 3D motion-capture technology. This facility helps to enhance athletes’ performance through improved technique, and also assists with injury prevention and rehabilitation. The laboratory is also equipped for assessing a range of physiological, biomechanical and psychological parameters. We are also the only university in the UK to focus on disability sport, an area of increasing importance.
This module map provides a list of the modules that make up your course.
Each module is worth a specified number of credits (typically either 15 or 30 credits for undergraduate courses). Compulsory (or ‘core’) modules cover key subject knowledge, while ‘option’ modules enable you to develop your own interests. For a full-time course you must take modules worth a total of 120 credits at each level of the course. The number of option modules you can take depends on the number of compulsory modules at each level. You can find more information about how your course is structured via the Academic Advice pages.
Our teaching is informed by research and employer requirements, and modules change periodically to reflect developments in the subject area. In addition, where we have insufficient numbers of students interested in an option module, this may not be offered. If an option module does not run, we will advise you as soon as possible and help you choose an alternative module.
