Learn about the Business from well-seasoned experts in management
Our lecturers have extensive industry and academic experience. They’ll help you mix theory with practice, informing your teaching with their knowledge. We get many guest speakers visiting, some of which are former students. We make sure that you’ll always know about the latest trends in the world of business.
Some of our lecturers have their own interests in the business, some with their own businesses. Their main interest is your teaching and they are ready to support you through your studies.
We run Bizfest every year, where successful business leaders come to Bucks to share their thoughts on business ventures and the future of their industries.
We have a state-of-the-art gym and our human performance laboratory is home to an indoor three-lane running track that incorporates 3D motion-capture technology. This facility helps to enhance athletes’ performance through improved technique, and also assists with injury prevention and rehabilitation. This module map provides a list of the modules that make up your course.
Each module is worth a specified number of credits (typically either 15 or 30 credits for undergraduate courses). Compulsory (or ‘core’) modules cover key subject knowledge, while ‘option’ modules enable you to develop your own interests. For a full-time course you must take modules worth a total of 120 credits at each level of the course. The number of option modules you can take depends on the number of compulsory modules at each level. You can find more information about how your course is structured via the Academic Advice pages.
Our teaching is informed by research and employer requirements, and modules change periodically to reflect developments in the subject area.
