Theo Mukamuri

I am proud to be a second year LLB Law student at Bucks New University. The university environment is stimulating and I have learnt a great deal both academically and socially.

The lecturers are incredibly experienced and their scope of teaching goes beyond lecture rooms. Studying Law at Bucks has given me confidence in assimilating and analysing complex information from both sides of a situation. I have learnt to construct arguments, write with precision and clarity as well as think on my feet.

The seminars allow me as an individual and in group studies to think critically and work as a team. There are field trips included in the course and I have sat in real time court cases and also participated in a mock bail application in the local magistrates court. This has also included visiting the Royal Courts and Supreme Court in London. There are networking opportunities available through frequent visits from high profile speakers and organizations.

Bucks offers a vibrant campus life with a wide range of societies and clubs forming a thriving community. This has given me the opportunity to be part of the Hockey club, Christian Union, The Law society, The Mooting Society Chair and Student Representative for both the first and second year students. These opportunities have allowed me to develop leadership, listening, research and team building skills.

The holistic experience I am getting as a student here at Bucks gives me the confidence to say that I will reach my full potential at this University
