This programme, run by the School of Aviation and Security at Bucks New University, gives you an opportunity to take your studies to a higher level and further enhance your professional and career potential.
The course has been designed to meet the needs of security and related professionals who wish to gain a postgraduate level qualification without committing to a master’s programme, but with the opportunity to continue to a Master of Science in one of Bucks’ growing portfolio of security and resilience courses.
The two modules introduce Threats, Risks and Impacts before examining the Security Management options to mitigate their effects on organisations from the small to the global.
You are encouraged to apply the various principles, theories, and practices to your business, work role and employment requirement or aspirations. Using structured assessment tasks, you will also be encouraged to identify the relevance of the content to your own working environment.
As a Bucks student, you will have access to the full range of e-books, journals, electronic documents, workbooks and other resources available remotely from the Bucks Library. You will also be able to access relevant support mechanisms and module tutors through email, telephone, the virtual learning environment, VoIP and, if you wish and it is possible, face-to-face.
