Have a good look round
If you’re thinking of coming to Bucks, one of the best ways to decide if we’re the right place for you is to come to one of our open days. You’ll get to meet current students, chat with tutors, and have a good look round our facilities and accommodation. And there’ll be lots of opportunity to ask any questions about what we offer, or what you can expect as a student here.
Choose the right course for you
If there’s a particular subject or industry you’re interested in, have a browse through our course section and see what we offer in that particular field. There's a range of undergraduate courses to choose from, in everything from travel and aviation, to textiles and policing, so there’s likely to be something on offer that sparks your interest and inspires you to want to find out more.
Get to grips with your finances
Tuition fees are a key matter for all students, and it’s important you are familiar with how to pay for the fees and living costs, and what financial support may be available. You’ll find details of our course fees on our individual course pages and information on student finance in our fees and funding section. Try to apply for any loans as early as you can, to make sure you’ve got finance in place by the start of the academic year.
Take time over your personal statement
Your personal statement is really important as it’s the one opportunity you have to personalise your application and explain your suitability for your course. It is also one of the most time consuming parts of your application, so allow plenty of time to get it right. Read our guidance on how to write a great personal statement.
Don’t miss anything – including the deadlines
Above all, make sure your application is completed in full before you submit it to UCAS. You’ll find full instructions and guidance notes at ucas.com. An incomplete application may not be considered.
To guarantee that we will consider your application, it’s crucial you submit it by the 15 January deadline. We can only consider applications received after this date if we have any available spaces.
Also, make sure you stick to the UCAS deadlines for replying to any decisions, so that you don’t lose out on any offers made to you.
