What to Expect at an Open Evening

Postgraduate and Professional Open Evenings at our High Wycombe Campus are a great opportunity to meet current postgrads and professionals, talk to course team leaders, and get a good feel for the University and the wide range of things on offer.

If you’re interested in our postgraduate or professional courses within the security, resilience and aviation area, we’ll be holding an online open evening for these courses. If you’re interested in Applied Positive Psychology, you can attend the open evening either online or in person.

More information about our online and campus events can be found on our event booking page.

What will I find out at a Postgraduate and Professional Open Evening?

If you’re attending an event on campus, you’ll be able to access information on the application process and how to finance your studies, as well as get a good feel for our campus and the facilities.

If you’re attending our online open evening, you’ll have a chance to hear more about your course of interest in more detail, and ask any questions you may have.

Of course, if there’s anything specific you’d like to know more about, just ask… we’re here to help you make the right decisions about your future study plans.

Sounds great! When is the next Open Evening?

To ensure we get to talk to every potential student, and that we can answer your specific questions, we run several Open Days each year. For dates and to reserve your place at our next event, visit our Open Evenings page.

How can I prepare?

  • If you haven’t already, it’s worth having a read of our prospectus. You can download one here – or order a copy by post.
  • If you can’t attend one of our Open Evenings, you’re welcome to join us for a campus tour during the academic year. It’s a great way to experience everyday life at Bucks.
  • For a comprehensive overview of life and study here, have a browse through our Student life section – you’ll find lots of information on what’s going on locally and on campus.
  • If you’re attending an event on campus, make sure you know where to come. Take a look at how to get to the High Wycombe Campus.
  • If you’re joining the online open evening, you’ll need access to a computer and internet connection. We’ll publish details of how to join the online session nearer to the time.

We look forward to discussing your future with us.
