Nikoleta graduated as a Registered Children’s Nurse from Anglia Ruskin University, in 2002.  Thereafter she completed her BSc (Hons) in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (Health Visiting) and Post-Graduate Certificate in Management Studies.  She has held roles of increasing responsibility within the NHS. She joined Middlesex University in 2016 as a Children’s Nursing and CPD lecturer, where she started her Post-Graduate Certificate in Higher Education gaining the title of NMC Registered Teacher and becoming a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

She went on to successfully complete an internship with the Drug and Alcohol Research Centre in Middlesex University conducting her MSc in Nursing Studies dissertation. She is also the Secretary of the Children and Young People Nurse Academics UK (CYPNAUK) and a member of Professor Alan Glasper’s team of reviewers for the ‘Journal of Children’s and Young People’s nursing’ and the ‘Issues In Comprehensive Paediatric Nursing’.  Moreover, she has been a member of the Middlesex University’s Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work Fitness for Practice (FfP) Sub-Panel.

She has been nominated twice for the Student-Led Academic Staff Member of the Year and Most Inspiring Teacher Awards and won the 2017 Teaching Award for the Academic Staff Member of the Year for School of Health & Education.  In 2020 she joined Bucks New University as senior lecturer within the Practice Learning Unit.
