Steven has a clinical background in critical care nursing and prior to moving into the university sector, he worked as a charge nurse and practice educator in intensive care. He has worked at 2 HEIs and joined Bucks in 2009 as a Senior Lecturer leading the Intensive Care and Acute Respiratory Care modules before becoming programme leader for the BSc and MSc Professional Practice programmes. He continues to act as link lecturer for Harefield Hospital.
As Principal Lecturer for International and Partnerships his interests lay in expanding our international links in terms of business and educational opportunities in healthcare, and has presented at international conferences in the field of critical care education and workforce development. He is the Partnership Tutor for the European osteopathy provision, and for the healthcare provision at Bucks' partnerships in the UK. He has led on the curriculum development and validation of a number of programmes and is chair of the university’s APL Panel.
