Claire has been lecturing on undergraduate forensic psychology modules at Bucks since September 2017, with previous teaching experience in institutions based in London and Sydney, Australia. Her broad area of interest lies within socio-cognitive psychology applied to the forensic domain. More specifically her PhD research, of which she is in her final year, investigates how juvenile offender stereotypes affect legal decision-making processes and outcomes. Long term research aims include establishing new methodology to effectively measure and mitigate such stereotypical effects, both in terms of negative biased outcomes (verdicts/ sentencing), and tactical evidence usage by legal professionals.
