Technician, Sports Science and Human Performance

I am a Sports Nutritionist having studied for an MSc in Applied Sports Nutrition at St Marys University College, Twickenham. I am registered with the Sports and Exercise Nutrition Register and have a particular interest in plant-based nutrition. I have also self-published a nutrition guide and cookbook Plant-Based 4 Running. Before studying for my MSc I had a career in marketing and owned a direct marketing business for 17 years. My first degree was a BA (Hons) in Sports Studies from Sheffield Hallam University where I played first class rugby for Sheffield RUFC, South Yorkshire and British Polytechnics. I joined BNU in 2017 after completing my Master’s degree when I was looking for an opportunity in Higher Education. My role as a technician has given him the opportunity to combine my commercial skills and experience with a knowledge and passion for sport to support students and staff who use the equipment and facilities offered in the Human Performance Lab. I also undertake some teaching in sports nutrition and related subjects on a number of the degree programmes offered by the University.
