Biography

Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2007, I had a successful career in Marketing, owning my own Direct Response business for 17 years.

I studied for my MSc in Applied Sports Nutrition at St. Marys University Twickenham and my specialist area of interest is in plant-based diets. It is an area of increasing interest to athletes and I have published a nutrition guide and cookbook, Plant-Based 4 Running.

I am a practitioner member of the Sports and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENr) and an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA).

My specialist knowledge has led me to work with TASS athletes, a number of sports teams, and I was a member of the support team for an athlete who broke the Guinness World Record for cycling across Europe.

My career highlight is achieving a distinction in my MSc degree studies leading to undertaking Associate Lecturer sessions in Sports Nutrition on a number of the courses offered by the University.
