Biography

After graduating from Leeds Beckett University with an MSc in Sport & Exercise Biomechanics, Rich has gone on to undertake a number of roles within education and industry. Initially starting out lecturing at Leicester College, Rich gained a vast experience in working with students from a range of backgrounds from level 1 functional skills, to level 4/5 Research Methods and Data Analysis modules on the degree programme. Following on from this role, further experience at both level 3 and degree level programmes was gained from Moulton College in Northamptonshire. After a number of years in education, Rich went on to use his Sport Science background in industry, spending a year working as a Health Physiologist conducting health and lifestyle assessments in a range of corporate settings including Unilever, Aviva, Capita and the Met Police before leaving to work at TomTom Sports. In this role Rich was responsible for a testing and development of range of sports wearables from GPS and optical heart rate based multi-sport running watches to golf watches and activity trackers. Since returning to the education industry with Bucks New University in September 2017, Rich now acts as the module leader for Biomechanics, Anatomy and Data Analysis modules across a range of sports degree programmes, while additionally acting as personal tutor for the Sport & Exercise Science programme.
