Biography

Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2017, I was involved in a range of roles both within the education sector and in industry. These included lecturing roles at Leicester College and Moulton College (Northampton), while also spending time as a laboratory technician at The University of Northampton, and acting as a Senior Sports Science Test Lead for TomTom Sport, helping with the development and validation of sports wearable devices.

I studied for my degree and master’s qualifications at The University of Hertfordshire & Leeds Beckett, respectively, and my specialist area of research is in the biomechanics of sport and exercise, specifically technique analysis and the assessment of movement variability of athletes.

I am a member of the International Society of Biomechanics in Sports (ISBS), and a fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).

My specialist knowledge has led me to work with a range of professional athletes in football and badminton, including a project abroad working alongside PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands.
