Francesco Ragni is an expert in the field of airline and travel technology, with 15 years of executive experience in the aviation industry. For nine years he managed Sabre Airline Solutions’ business in southern Europe, working with airlines such as Alitalia, Aegean, El Al, Vueling, Air Malta and Turkish Airlines.
His background in the industry includes senior commercial roles with Rusada, a provider of MRO solutions, and with Alitalia’s distribution company, in addition to several consulting engagements on aviation topics. Prior to that, he was a management consultant with Accenture and with strategy house Bain & Co for a total of eight years.
At Bucks New University Francesco Ragni is Course Leader for the BA Airline and Airport Management and a Senior Lecturer on aviation business topics. His main areas of interest revolve around the use of IT and AI in aviation to improve airline’s business and enhance customer experience. He is also interested in the recent developments in airline distribution and in the evolution of airlines’ business model
Francesco Ragni holds a degree in Statistical and Economic Sciences from the University of Palermo (cum laude) and an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management in the Netherlands.
