Richard Gray is a Senior Lecturer and Course Leader for B.A (Hons) Music Management & Studio Production and delivers lectures and workshops across the range of Audio and Music undergraduate courses here at Buckinghamshire New University. Richard has lectured and developed course content and new undergraduate programmes in the areas of Music Production, Performance & Technology at a number of institutions throughout his career. As a practitioner of music, he is a composer, producer, a multi-instrumentalist and engineer for both studio and live sound contexts. Richard’s primary interests are in the cultural, creative and performance aspects of alternative music scenes; with a particular interest in contemporary DIY music practices and their associated production aesthetics. Richard is currently undertaking a Practice-Based PhD that investigates modern music making practices in relation to contemporary creativity frameworks and theories.
