Associate Professor in Computing
School of Business, Law & Computing
I am an Associate Professor in Computing, based within the School of Business, Law & Computing; teaching a range of subjects including High Performance Systems, Life Critical Software Development and Formal Mathematics. I have spent most of my teaching life at this University, and was highly delighted to see it gain it’s hard won reputation as a provider of quality education. This well sort after recognition crossing both National and International boundaries.
My long length of service at BNU started after leaving the Royal Air Force as an Educational Officer at RAF Cranwell, instructing Graduate Software Engineers. This dedication of my teaching career to one particular Institution is by no means uncommon amongst the staff here at BNU. Happily highlighting the general loyalty and commitment many of us feel towards the University.
And certainly one of my greatest pleasures and clearly the most fulfilling aspect of the work is seeing on Graduation Day the immense satisfaction expressed by both relatives and students alike, as the latter gains their hard earned qualification; a number of whom might not have ever been considered or given this opportunity, by less student focused Institution.
