School of Health Care & Social Work
Our School of Health Care and Social Work offers professionally-focused courses to help you enter, or progress in, health and social care roles.
Choosing to study with us means getting access to the opportunities, experiences and encouragement you need to move forward in your career.
We help our students gain the specialist knowledge and skills to succeed at whatever level their ambition takes them.
Most of our courses are professionally accredited, approved and regulated by bodies such as the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), British Association of Social Workers (BASW) and the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
You will be taught by experienced academics, most of whom have moved from senior professional practice posts, and many of our courses combine classroom theory with practise experience. Several of our lecturers also maintain clinical currency, working in practise to ensure you get the most out of your course.
We also work in partnerships with a number of employers, including local health authorities, NHS trusts, primary care and healthcare organisations in London and the Home Counties, to develop and provide new training courses for students and workforce development opportunities for qualified registrants.
The teams in this school comprise:

- CPD (post-qualifying nursing)
- Community (post-qualifying specialist community courses) and Public Health.
