Engineering and the Built Environment influences everyday life from health, environment, to social and digital connections. This sector contributes significantly to the national and global economy and is characterised as a sector with remarkably high skill shortages.  The courses in this area prepare you to take on challenging roles across the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industries. You will gain the skills and knowledge that reflect current industry requirements.  The portfolio of courses comprises different modes of delivery such as full time, part time and apprenticeships to meet the requirements of the students.

Whether you would like to develop yourself as a designer, engineer, technologist or a manager and be part of a profession which devises solutions to global challenges for the betterment of the society, you will find a suitable course to study.

The courses in engineering cater for specific disciplines include Mechanical, Electrical and Production Engineering. These courses are available as part time for apprentices and to those who are in employment.

The built environment courses cover design, construction, technology and management with Construction Engineering and Architectural Technology specialisms. These courses provide you with skills in design, technology and management of built facilities.  Upon completion of a built environment course, you will be joining a group of professionals in roles such as site engineer, construction manager and architectural technologists.

We work very closely with professional bodies such as Institution of Engineering Designers (IED), Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE) and Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).
