Bucks hits WhatUni’s top 40
Date: 25th Apr 2018
Bucks New University has made the top 40 in WhatUni’s annual ranking of UK universities thanks to student feedback on the TripAdvisor-style site for prospective students.
WhatUni recently published its results for 2018 which show that Bucks has improved across every category.
Representatives from WhatUni surveyed Bucks students at both the High Wycombe and Uxbridge campuses in November 2017 to collect reviews of their experiences at Bucks. The results highlights include:
- University of the Year – 39th
- Job Prospects - 42nd
- Course and Lecturers – 27th
- Students’ Union – 8th
- Clubs and Societies – 53rd
- Student Support – 22nd
- Giving Back – 27th
The University and Students’ Union were also shortlisted in the Best Student Engagement Campaign and Students’ Union categories at the WhatUni Student Choice Awards (19 April).
Vice Chancellor Professor Rebecca Bunting said: “It is encouraging that it’s direct feedback from our students that has resulted in Bucks’ improved performance across a wide range of areas. I’m proud to see Bucks Students’ Union ranked in the top ten, and that students recognise the University’s efforts to support them during their studies to help them succeed in their chosen occupations.
“We always encourage our students to share their feedback with us about what is going well, and where we can do better, to ensure we are providing them with the best possible student experience.”
