University Campus Aylesbury Vale breakfast briefing

Using social media for business comes under the spotlight in the next free Breakfast Briefing at University Campus Aylesbury Vale from 8am-10am on Friday 31 March.

Greta Paa-Kerner, a senior lecturer in Bucks Business School at Buckinghamshire New University, will be highlighting best practices of digital marketing at the campus in Walton Road, Aylesbury. The event is organised in partnership with Buckinghamshire Business First.

Mrs Paa-Kerner, an international marketing consultant, said: "Social media is a great tool for small and medium size businesses, but it's important to understand what it can and can't achieve.

"This breakfast briefing is intended to highlight best practices of digital marketing, the different types which can be used and the benefits to using it for your business.

"We will examine how to develop a business profile, appreciate the value of posts through channels including LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter, and identify which application to use and when.

"The briefing will also examine the importance of social media for improving search engine optimisation."

Greta Paa-Kerner has over 20 years marketing experience. Her comprehensive career spans all aspects of marketing from strategy to implementation, above-the-line to below-the-line, client to agency, B2B to B2C, online to offline and start-up to Fortune 100 companies.

Prior to working at Bucks New University, Greta was the Managing Director of European Operations and Global Head of Marketing for an affiliate marketing agency.  

It is the latest in the Breakfast Briefings series at University Campus Aylesbury Vale which have also included talks by Phil Wood MBE and Aylesbury College's Executive Director of Employer Engagement & Business Development Tim Keighley speaking about government apprenticeship reforms.
