Bucks Advent Calendar: Saturday 2 December...walking in a winter 'Winterland'
Date: 2nd Dec 2017
First year BA (Hons) Music & Live Event Management students are working hard to bring some festive magic to the High Wycombe Campus for the Winterland event next weekend (9 December).
Back following the success of last year, the fun kicks off from 2pm and the concourse will be transformed into a free festive treat for all the family – even Santa will be there in his grotto.
There will be a range of entertainment until the event closes at 7pm, including live musical performances from duo Liz and Barney, the University acapella society, Holmer Green Senior School choir and their rock band, and Wooburn Green and Wycombe ‘Rock Project’ - all performing on the main stage. Even more acts will be announced later.
Student Charlotte Hall, involved in marketing for the event, said: “Everyone has worked so hard on and we really hope our hard work pays off and makes next Saturday enjoyable for everyone who comes to see what we’ve done!”
The funfair will be returning and will include the Ferris wheel, mini carousel, teacups and the chair-o-planes, along with the ever-popular indoor inflatable play zone.
There will also be a range of winter-themed games for all the family, and hot food and drinks will be available.
Entry is free, it’s only £5 for an unlimited ride wristband and only £2 to visit Santa’s grotto – so it’s perfect for an early Christmas treat.
