Welcome to the department of Furniture

The main campus of Bucks is based in High Wycombe, formally the chair and furniture making capital of the UK and it’s this history which builds the solid foundation for our furniture department. We offer general and specialist courses in furniture design, restoration, wood carving, and more.

Students benefit from our close industry links through speakers and live projects, enabling them to experience real commercial contexts of design whilst developing their own expertise and vision.

Many of our students pursue a postgraduate route in our MA art and design programmes and take part in impressive exhibitions on and off campus. Bucks is a great places to study, take a look at our graduate testimonials to see what our previous students think.
