Sport
Bucks takes its sport seriously and during
your time with us we will:
- offer recreational opportunities for you to enjoy sport
regardless of ability;
- offer support for you to develop and realise your sporting
potential;
- offer opportunities for you to coach and officiate sport in the
local community.
Thanks to a unique partnership with the University, Bucks Students’ Union is now in
the position to allow Bucks students to play sport for free whilst
they study. Bucks students receive an impressive package of
benefits that includes free access to sports and recreational
activities which covers the costs associated with over 20 different
sports played competitively at the university, including insurance,
kit and match fees.
The calibre of the Bucks Students’ Union sports
teams is extremely high. The university boasts a British
Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS, formerly BUSA) Premiership
Golf team as well as a BUCS first division rugby team and football
teams, and continues to perform well in both leagues and cups
across a varietry of sports. At an individual level, over the
years a range of renowned sports people have been students of the
university, representing their country on a national and
international stage.
The following activities are organised by
