Student's Union
Bucks Students’ Union is
there to make your time at university as enjoyable and productive
as possible.
First of all, there’s the serious stuff –
working with the National Union of Students on local and national
issues, representing you on Bucks committees and giving students a
voice. But there’s also a fun element, which ranges from Raise
and Give (RAG) Week and the Sports Presentation Evening through to
the spectacular May Ball held each year.
The Bucks Students’ Union bar
is located on the High Wycombe Campus and holds a range
of themed events. Whatever your taste in music, whatever your
favourite tipple, you’re going to be spoilt for choice. Top
bands. Chart acts. Nationally renowned DJs. You’l
find them all at The Venue and The White Room (which incidentally
was designed by the team who refurbished the Ministry of
Sound).
Want to get
involved?
You can work for the Students' Union – perhaps get a
job in a bar or café and make yourself some extra cash – or
volunteer to serve on one of its committees. There are also
opportunities for promoters and brand managers.
Clubs and societies are a
great way of meeting other like-minded students, so if you have a
passion for ferrets or enjoy a game of tiddlywinks, why not get
involved in the existing club or help set up one of your own?
