We are proud of our Social Work Academy, an exciting collaboration between the University and Buckinghamshire County Council. The Social Work Academy’s goal is to improve and support the practice and knowledge of social workers and social work managers. The Academy aims to promote a learning culture linking theory with practice.
We share the multi-disciplinary research and expertise of our leading academics in social work, safeguarding, child nursing and education to support the Continuing Professional Development of qualified social workers and managers.
We are honoured that our academic staff are represented on both the local children and adult safeguarding boards for Buckinghamshire.
The Social Work Academy is a clear demonstration of Buckinghamshire County Council’s commitment to the professional development of its social workers and social care workforce.
