Every one of these faculties is led by someone
with substantial experience in their particular sector and we have
a strong track record of delivering the higher-level skills
necessary for a thriving, modern economy.
Faculty of Enterprise &
Innovation
Our three schools all have experience directly relevant to
regional employers, and attract the interest and involvement of
national and international organisations.
The School of Business and Management teaches
and delivers the academic and research programmes that can make the
difference to your business success. Not only do we cover
traditional business disciplines, but we’re also active in new
areas such as event management.
The School of Sport, Leisure and Travel
provides specialised expertise in areas such as Sports Management
and has excellent industry links with organisations that include
London Wasps, Wycombe Wanderers, Reading FC, the FA and the UKPGA.
It also hosts The Centre for Crowd Protection – the leading unit of
its kind in the world.
The School of Computing and Advanced
Technologies already has well established links with industry, but
we’re keen to hear from other interested parties that want to make
use of our research facilities and technical expertise.

Faculty of Creativity and
Culture
The creative and cultural industries are now one of the
largest contributors to the UK economy. Bucks is a well
respected player in this knowledge economy and we remain at the
cutting edge with our portfolio of courses. But it’s our high-level
industry contacts around the world that make the real difference in
creative disciplines such as advertising, textiles and music
industry management.

Faculty of Society and
Health
The public sector remains the largest employer within the
country and faces many of the greatest challenges. Bucks is well
respected as a major HE provider within the NHS Trusts of North
West London and the Thames Valley, as well as by the Metropolitan
Police and the County and District Councils of the area. We
also have an excellent track record of research and the training of
staff from social work, psychology and law.

Foundation Degrees
Bucks has an exemplary approach to the
development of Foundation Degree programmes with employers and
their respective Sector Skills Councils. We provide employees
with the necessary skills to fulfil business objectives and can
help people move on towards an honours or postgraduate degree where
appropriate.
