Nights out

Memorable nights out are an important part of student life. So you’ll want to know from the outset where the best venues are for food, drink, dancing and culture. If you’re new to the area, this is a great place to start planning your fun.

Whether you’re based in High Wycombe, Uxbridge or Aylesbury, there are many ways to spend the early evenings, late nights and early hours. Plus, there are excellent public transport links, Uber coverage and local taxi options in all three campus locations, so you’ll be where you need to be on time, and home safe when the party’s over.

High Wycombe

You don’t have to go far if you’re at High Wycombe Campus. In fact, you needn’t go anywhere – The Venue , run by Bucks Students’ Union , always has something going on, and the SU bar serves food and cheap drinks. For culture, the nearby Wycombe Swan theatre has a packed and varied calendar of events. For straightforward pub or restaurant vibes, there are plenty of student-friendly options in central Wycombe, and further afield in Marlow and Beaconsfield. Plus, there’s the Eden Cineworld cinema and Hollywood Bowl, and a wide range of restaurants for all tastes and budgets in the Eden centre .

Then there’s the heart of London, just a short train journey away, where the nightlife options are pretty much endless.

Uxbridge

Uxbridge has its very own nightclub, Liquid and Envy, which attracts leading DJs and club nights from far and wide, and offers VIP experiences. The town also has some excellent bars and restaurants, taking you from pub grub to fine dining, and from fish and chips to sushi. As with Wycombe, you’re just a short train ride from central London, where there’s even more choice – and excellent transport options to get you there and back safely, whatever the hour.

Intu Uxbridge hosts some of the town’s popular chain restaurants, and is also home to a nine-screen cinema, including an IMAX theatre for that immersive viewing experience.

Aylesbury

While it’s not exactly a renowned party town, Aylesbury is a great place to spend a low-key evening involving drinks and dinner at one of its many restaurants. For later in the evening, you’ve a wide range of pubs and bars to choose from, and late-opening cafes. There’s bowling, too – and bingo if you fancy it!
