All staff have a role to play in supporting the University’s success. The Learning and Development Policy is designed to ensure we provide the necessary support to enable you to contribute to the University’s mission. There is also access to funding for formal qualifications as well as on the job training.
This begins on your appointment with appropriate induction and mentoring. After your probation period and throughout your career, learning and development needs can be discussed at any time with your manager and a particular focus is provided as part of the Professional Development Review. A range of development specialists are located throughout the University to support your personal, professional and technical development needs.
