Study Higher is a collaborative partnership between Bucks New University, Oxford Brookes University, the University of Oxford, the University of Reading, and six Further Education Colleges. We give impartial advice and guidance to young people and those who support them about education opportunities.
Together we provide:
- A range of events and activities to raise the aspirations of young people and inform them about further and higher education opportunities
- Tailored activities to support groups of students who face particular barriers to accessing higher education including Looked After Children and Young Carers
- Advice and guidance for schools, teachers, parents and carers to help support young people in making informed decisions
- A dedicated website listing all outreach events and activities available locally
Study Higher is now one of 38 National Networks for Collaborative Outreach (NNCO) funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) and provides a single point of contact for all state-funded secondary schools and colleges in the region covering: Bracknell Forest, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes, Oxfordshire, Reading, Swindon, West Berkshire and Wokingham. Some schools belong to more than one network; you can check whether this applies to you on HEFCE’s postcode search tool.
You can sign up to the Study Higher newsletter here to keep up-to-date with outreach activities across the partnership, as well as some useful resources.
