Visitor Information

We welcome visitors to our High Wycombe and Uxbridge libraries, to arrange access please visit us.

Term time opening hours:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - 10am to 6.30pm
Friday - 10am to 4.30pm
Saturday and Sunday - 2pm to 4pm

Vacation opening hours:

Monday - Friday - 10am to 4pm

To arrange access outside of these times please email the library team.

To ensure we have the resources you need, please check our Library catalogue prior to your visit.

Complete an Access@Bucks Application Form and email it to the library team prior to your visit.

All visitors should observe Library regulations when using our libraries.

Specific visitor information is as follows:

Bucks Alumni

You can join the library for £45 per annum. Bring photo ID and proof of address. We will issue you with a Bucks Associate card.

Membership allows you to borrow up to four items at a time and free Wi-Fi access on your personal laptop or device. To join, contact the library service desk in The Gateway on the High Wycombe Campus.

Please note that this library membership does not include access to the Bucks network or e-resource subscriptions.

External Borrowers

You can join the library for £90 per annum. Bring photo ID and proof of address. We will issue you with a Bucks Associate card.

Membership allows you to borrow up to four items at a time and free Wi-Fi access on your personal laptop or device. To join, contact the library service desk in The Gateway on the High Wycombe Campus.

Retired Bucks Employees

You have free library membership for three years which allows you to borrow up to four items. You have free Wi-Fi access on your personal laptop or device. To join, contact the library service desk in The Gateway on the High Wycombe Campus.

Sconul

Staff and students from other UK universities can use our libraries via the Sconul Access Scheme. Bring a printed copy of your Sconul authorisation email and ID card from your home institution. We will issue you with a Bucks Associate card.

Sconul borrower categories A, B and C can borrow up to four items. Sconul category R users can access printed books and journals for reference only. You have free Wi-Fi access on your personal laptop or device.

Access@Bucks

Members of the public are welcome to join the library. This gives you access for six months to our libraries for reference use of printed books and journals. You have free Wi-Fi access on your personal laptop or device.
