The Head Tenancy Scheme
The Accommodation Service operates a Head Tenancy Scheme in conjunction with Nupad estate agents, allowing us to offer a number of houses to rent in the local area. The scheme only has properties in the Uxbridge area and they house six students on individual contracts.
They are located within a two-mile radius from the University Uxbridge Campus. This scheme allows students to be independent and live within the community while having the added security of living in a property under the direct control of the Accommodation Service.
The properties have met the University's standards with regard to safety and furnishing requirements and are all licensed by Hillingdon Council.
Deposits and rent from students are paid to the University, maintenance is reported to and managed by Nupad.
All houses are fully furnished and have single bedrooms, kitchen, social space and bathroom. Utility bills are included. All properties are let to individuals; therefore there are locks on bedroom doors.
All rooms are different, so students should view any property before agreeing to rent. There are 30 rooms in 5 HTS houses for first semester students; the tenancy is for a single semester.
Take a look at the HTS terms and conditions.
Meet and Greet Days
These days are held during December/January for the February intake and July/August for the September intake and are an opportunity to meet other students, view properties and to organise accommodation.
The next Meet and Greet Day is on Thursday 15th December 2016.
Details of the Meet and Greet Days will be sent to you, if you request accommodation on the Head Tenancy Scheme or private sector accommodation.
If you wish to stay overnight in High Wycombe during the summer, you may be able to stay in Open Halls. To book a room, or for more information about Open Halls, telephone 01494 603 063.
