A Year in Review

2016 was another great year for Bucks, even if we do say so ourselves. With loads to shout and cheer about we thought we'd celebrate some of our successes from the year.

January

We're the first university in the UK to be awarded a Gold accreditation from People 1st for our aviation management and pilot training courses.
 

February

February

Our multi million pound Human Performance, Exercise and Wellbeing centre opened for business, well, industry-leading study.
 

March

March

Twenty-one Bucks sports teams took on the University of Roehampton in our annual Varsity match and only went and won, woohoo!

We're proud to have won many awards including; The Guardian University Award 2016  for Teaching Excellence, Student Nursing Times Award  Partnership of the Year and the government Employment Recognition Scheme  for support to the Armed Services award...just to name just a few.

Future stars will be shining bright thanks to the opening of 'Launch Pad' , our boardroom and office space dedicated to developing the entrepreneurial ambitions of our students.

Our End of Year show  was even bigger and better than before and featured a catwalk show hosted by BA (Hons) Fashion Design students.

This year we were joined by 51 A-level students for a week of Summer School fun where they learnt what uni life can involve and how much fun it can be.

With so many clubs, societies, events and activities happening at our SU it's no wonder it's been voted 11th Top Students' Union  in the UK.

Nearly 2,000 students graduated from Bucks this year. Well done, we're proud of each and every one of you!

This year marks our 125 year anniversary. It's celebrations galore throughout the year and we'll end with a big bang 'Open House' event that'll showcase our state-of-the-art facilities and students' achievements.

95%* of our students are in employment or further education just six months after graduating.

Do they know it's Christmas time? They sure do, we've got carols, shoe box presents and food bank volunteering going on all in aid of local charities.
