Students' Union

We are here to make your time at university as enjoyable and rewarding as possible. There are loads of reasons for you to get involved in the Students’ Union and many activities where you will meet some great new friends. You can learn new skills and bolster your CV, but above all else it’s just great fun!

Bucks Students’ Union is affiliated to the National Union of Students (NUS) who provide help and support on local and national issues. Each year you will get the chance to elect three full-time sabbaticals who are here to represent students and to liaise with NUS – we passionately believe that you have rights, you have opinions and you have a voice.

If you want to play an active role in your Union, there are lots of different opportunities to get involved. You can get a job in one of the SU bars or cafes, become a promoter for a specific event or help shape the direction of the SU by running for a seat in our Executive Committee.

Each year student reps are elected by their fellow classmates to give feedback in university meetings and in more formal settings. They take their views and those of their classmates and pass on concern and praise on the education they are receiving – you really can make a difference by getting involved.

Our award winning bars will entertain you every night of the week with a vast range of diverse events from the pub quiz to comedy nights. We also provide trips away from the University, the chance to get involved in volunteering projects, play for the University sports teams or get involved in a range of different societies.

Bucks Students’ Union Advice Centre is here to give you a helping hand for everything student, from problems with your accommodation, course, international & EU student issues, legal, money and personal difficulties.
