Advertising is all about persuasion. How do you take your creative flair and use that to build sales, likes, loyalty, or great brands? On Creative Advertising, we’ll help you release your creativity and let your ideas bloom. You’ll be able to dream up new ideas for famous name brands on this course. Creative Advertising is all about concepts, the ideas that power every big advertising campaign. Join our roster of successful Alumni who have created well-known ads for companies such as PG Tips, T-Mobile and Barclaycard. Our Creative Advertising students have picked up awards left, right and centre – most recently winning the ‘best ad of the decade’ award for the Hovis advert, 'Go On Lad'.

Making mistakes is all part of being a successful creative. We encourage you to experiment with your ideas and never fear taking risks. Our course isn’t structured around grades and marks.

Some of the best ideas come from people who push the boundaries. Our critique sessions prepare you for the challenges of the agency world – how to pitch and how to deal with disappointment.

Many universities have advertising courses, but we have the benefit of having London on our doorstep. London is the creative capital of Europe and is fast becoming the best place for the creative industry in the world. We make the most of this connection, with live briefs coming from ad agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi.

Master a plethora of technical skills to help realise your ideas
You’ll be using more than designing software such as InDesign and creative suite. At Bucks, you’ll have full access to our equipment, ranging from 3D CAD software to tradition letterpress and silkscreen printing. And you don’t have to be an expert printer. We give you the chance to create a wide range of skills so you have a wealth of experience when creating concepts for clients.

You can also enlist the help of other students in other courses for your projects. If you need a film director, the film course has a rich supply. If you need help making your ideas look great, our graphic design students will help bring your concepts to life.

Get noticed by some of the biggest ad agencies in the world
Being so close to London has its definite perks. We work alongside ad agencies who often go on to employ our graduates. With live briefs and placements, our students can create work that gets noticed by the right people. We’ve been behind some game-changing adverts.

After graduating, our former students stay involved, sometimes running workshops to help give you an insight into the industry. Some of our graduates are now Creative Directors at Saatchi & Saatchi, BBH, VCCP, Mother, TBWA and Droga5.

What are the entry requirements?

A typical offer will include GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above and a UCAS Tariff score of 80-96. A minimum of two full A-levels (or equivalent) is required. Every application is considered on an individual basis.

If your application is successful, we’ll invite you for an interview. We use interviews to get a good idea of your creative talent and your personality. We’d like to see your portfolio too.

At interview, we want you to impress us with your sparkling personality, surprise us with your boundless creativity and convince us that you are worth investing in. Then, before we can get a word in edgeways, talk us in to giving you a place. You should be highly motivated, passionate, confident and articulate.

How much does it cost?

Fees for September 2017 to August 2018 entry

Full-time Home and EU: £9,250 per year
Full-time International: £10,500 per year

Most courses will involve some additional costs that are not covered by your fees.
